Senior Software Testing Engineer (QA_V001)
Department: Quality Assurance | Locations: Coimbatore & Madurai
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Testing Engineer to lead and execute comprehensive manual testing across ERP, Retail, Mobile (Flutter), PHP Web Applications, JSP/Servlet-based Web Modules, and Java Desktop Applications. The role requires full QA ownership including test planning, scenario design, regression cycles, performance validation, API testing, and data verification using SQL on PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, and DerbyDB.
Hands-on exposure to automation tools such as Selenium and Appium, along with performance/load testing using JMeter, will be a strong advantage. You will manage end-to-end defect tracking, collaborate with development teams, and ensure product stability before customer release.
- Analyse requirements and prepare detailed test plans, scenarios & test cases.
- Perform manual testing for ERP, Retail, PHP Web Apps, JSP/Servlet web modules, Java Swing applications, and Flutter mobile apps.
- Validate data using SQL across PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL and DerbyDB.
- Test API integrations and workflows between server, middleware, and front-end applications.
- Plan and execute regression cycles ensuring pre-release stability.
- Log, track, reproduce and verify defects using internal issue-tracking tools.
- Use Selenium / Appium for basic automation and JMeter for load/performance validation.
- Work closely with development teams to analyse, isolate and validate issues.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and support process improvements.
- Ensure timely QA sign-off with complete documentation.
- Strong expertise in manual testing for ERP, Retail, Desktop (Java Swing), Web (PHP/JSP/Servlet), and Mobile (Flutter) apps.
- Solid SQL knowledge for data validation across PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL and DerbyDB.
- Experience in testing workflows, integrations & business logic.
- Hands-on knowledge of automation tools like Selenium and Appium (added advantage).
- Experience with API testing using Postman and performance/load testing using JMeter.
- Strong understanding of retail, inventory, finance, and business workflow testing.
- Ability to independently own and execute complete QA lifecycle.
